What is Scriptum?

Scriptum is a solo journaling TTRPG created for the Eternal TTRPG Jam. It’s a game about discovering cultures through the books they write.
No dice, no cards, no tokens: just you, paper, pen, and the worlds waiting to be explored!

How to Play

The game unfolds in Chapters, each focused on one Culture.
Every Chapter contains multiple Scenes, and each Scene ends with the discovery of a Book.
Record each Book on your Library Sheet and note what it reveals about the Culture you’re exploring: a child’s diary might show their fears; a sacred text could reveal what they worship; a cookbook might show what brings people together around the table...

At the end of each Chapter, that Culture leaves its mark on you.
Your Traits evolve to reflect what you’ve learned, what has touched you, what has changed inside you.
Your fear might turn into courage, your rigidity into openness… it’s up to you what stays with you.

Let the story carry you!
